SPOTLIGHT ON JLMBC – 2-18-18
The 5th Pastoral Anniversary for the First Family will be celebrated on Saturday, March 17th and Sunday, March 18th. Saturday will be a Hawaiian Lau with “pig pickin”, fish fry and the fixin. Juniper church family is asked to come comfortably dressed in bright colors indicative of Hawaii (please, no grass skirts). Saturday will also provide an opportunity for “Love Offerings”. All are requested to bring bottled water, sliced and pre-wrapped desserts. Sunday, March 18th celebration will be with Pastor Brian Nixon at 8:00 am, 10:00 am with Pastor Sidney Locks, and 4:00 pm with Pastor Barry Berryhill. During the month of March, Juniper members are asked to participate in voting for “Pastor of the Month” contest on The Lite 103.9, additional information will be forthcoming on this and the process.
The Music Ministry has received a request to collect Gospel CD's of quartets, choirs, choruses and ensembles as well as a CD player to help establish a choir/chorus at a correctional facility in North Carolina. Your help is needed. Receptacles will be placed in the Vestibule and the Fellowship Hall for these donations. March 1st is the deadline for this request. Your contact is Wilma Dunston.
Reminder from Christian Education – All ministries should have a designated secretary who will assist their ministry with note taking and the recording of minutes when meetings occur. Also, be reminded these documents should be placed in your ministry 3-ring binders which are located in the Church Administrative Office. You may submit via email as an attachment, bring a hard copy in to the office of place a hard copy in the Church Administrative mailbox located in the Fellowship Hall.
Pastor Robinson along with the Prayer Ministry announces, “Corporate Prayer” in the Sanctuary every Wednesday prior to Bible Study.
Church Conference will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 7:00 pm.

WOW (Women Opening the Word) meets every 3rd Saturday of the Month in the Fellowship Hall.
Juniper will join with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County and other Baptist Churches to build homes in Raleigh neighborhoods in 2018. Volunteers are needed, and no experience is needed. Please place your name on the signup sheet located in the Vestibule. Your contact is Deacon James McNeill.
“Grab ‘N Go” is a 5-minute coffee and pastry pick up geared toward welcoming Juniper’s “First Time Visitors”. All visitors are invited to join the First Impressions Ministry immediately following the 8:00 am and 10:00 am Worship Services in the Fellowship Hall.
Juniper Level will celebrate Black History Month on Sunday, February 25th by wearing African attire. In addition, if you have any African antiquities, African Art, homemade quilts or afghans and you don’t mind sharing bring them to the church on the 25th and display them in the Fellowship Hall for all to see, immediately following the 10:00 am Worship Service.
Sunday School Ministry will meet on Wednesday, February 28th at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room. All teachers and officers are requested to attend.
Juniper Level Alumni & JLBC Community Alliance is asking for support with “Phase III” of the Rosenwald. Materials need to be purchased are for plumbing, HVAC and electrical; just to name a few. Additional information on giving for the Rosenwald can be found in the Vestibule.
Sailing to the Bahamas!! Come join Juniper as we cruise to the Bahamas - August 13th – 18, 2018. Everyone is invited! Bring a friend. To get a cabin on the cruise simply make a deposit fee of $150.00. Signup sheets are in the Vestibule. Deposits will be received until May the final payment in June. Phase III of the Rosenwald has begun and your help is requested on materials that need to be purchased for plumbing, HVAC and electrical, just to name a few. Additional information on this request can be found on the Bulletin Boards.
Food Pantry happens every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the Month at 9:30 am for those who qualify. The Produce Truck arrives every 3rd Monday of the Month at 9:30 am and all can participate. Just pull into the church parking lot, pop the trunk on your car and let us fill you up. It’s as simple as that.
